During the Easter break, 32 students along with Ms. Fitzpatrick, Mr. Egan and Ms. Dunne travelled to the fabulous city of New York. The students' hotel was a ten minute walk from Times Square and just a few steps from the doors of Macy's department store. To say they shopped till they dropped would be an understatement!
The trip was jam packed with lots of exciting activities. The students enjoyed a walking tour of Harlem, Central Park, Wall Street, China town, Fifth Avenue and the Upper East Side where the 'Gossip Girl' fans got particularly excited!
The students took the big lift to the top of the Empire State building to see the skyline of New York by day and also saw the city lights by night with a trip to the top of the Rockefeller Centre.
On the second last day, the group boarded a boat to see the Statue of Liberty and visited Ellis Island and the museum there.
It was a fantastic trip filled with Hershey's chocolate, pancakes and maple syrup and lots of Mc Donald's of course! The students were exemplary and they made their teachers job very easy and enjoyable!
